Mile-long stream restoration a rare opportunity in Maple Grove

A stream and ecosystem restoration in Maple Grove features a mile-long segment of the South Fork Rush Creek plus surrounding wetlands and prairie habitats. A Watershed-Based Implementation Funding grant BWSR awarded to the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission supported the work.

BWSR updating Wetland Conservation Act rules to reflect statutory changes

BWSR is updating rules for the state’s Wetland Conservation Act (WCA) to reflect statutory changes made since the current rule was adopted in 2009. This process aims to ensure that statutory changes are reflected by the rules, which will help streamline WCA regulatory activities.
